While surfing around checking out the ‘competition’ I ran across the piece that has gotten some play over the web. It is a diary piece where the person is stating that until the US gets invaded and occupied it will never truly know or understand or even ‘feel’ what war is. Of course the pundent and politicians can speak on war as if it were something they have been intimately involved with their entire lives.
Obviously, until you live war you can not really know what war is. I understand what the writer was trying to convey…. sometimes it takes getting Bitch Slapped before someone will open their eyes and shut their mouth.
Of course my take isn’t the same as the writers (link below) who says we need to be more compassionate and understanding.
Pretensiousness of the politicians, and supporters on both sides of the issue keep driving the normal Americans to the point where they jut don’t care anymore. They are trapped between where to turn to for some real honest answers, and the spin doctors who infest the airwaves.
So America doesn’t need to be invaded or occupied, but they do desparately need help on pulling the collective heads out of the asses of those who truly know nothing.
