Above the law? Maybe above their laws. Like it or not we are Americans, we are governed by the laws of our country and not that of others. If you look around the world today how many countries do you think have a wonderful judicial system?
Get shot on the spot for drinking and driving in places like Saudi Arabia- no due process just dead. Or how about the stoning of women who are rumored to be having an affair. The list is as endless as the night is dark here but I think you get my point. We govern ourselves, no one else- no country, no union has the rights to dictate to americans what we are or are not allowed.
It's bad enough that our own government has been allowed to come into our lives, bedrooms, boardrooms, diners etc etc etc... now you would have another country as well? I don't know about yours, but my bedroom is plenty full as is.

This is a tragedy. We are, like it or not, part of the international community. This ruling, in effect, says that America is above the law. That's a very dangerous place to be.

Thank God... the Supreme Court decided to side with American sovereignty. This will be a great precedent for future cases that would involve our sovereignty.
